Big banks are definitely to be avoided, but I will say I've had great luck with the local small bank that has maybe 10 locations in my area. I've had an account there since 2001 and they've been amazing. They've always been willing to work with me. When we moved back here, I insisted on switching to them from Bank of America (shudder). Hubby didn't want to go anything we weren't familiar with, which is why he stuck with BoA. They were evil, but at least they were the evil he knew. *sigh*
